An unmissable winter tradition
Building on past successes, Igloofest Québec returns with a revamped and expanded format. After a record-breaking year in 2024, when over 9,000 “Igloosapiens” gathered at Place Jean-Béliveau on a single night for headliner Tiësto, this year more than 20,000 festival-goers are expected on March 5, 6 and 7. In response to growing public demand, the winter’s hottest party is now open to ages 16 and up.
“In just three years, Igloofest Québec has gone from a bold gamble to a fixture on the festival scene,” says Martin Tremblay, president of Gestev. “We can feel the growing anticipation before each new edition, an indication of the extent to which Igloofest has become a Québec City winter tradition. The strong public response shows that electronic music has found a home in Québec City and it’s exciting to watch it get bigger and bigger every year.”
The festivities don’t stop at the main stage. For Igloofest Québec 2026, the popular Après-ski series at Boîte de Nuit St-Joseph will be back with a program that is totally distinct from the festival line-up. The after-party will be a chance for die-hard electro fans and those in search of new sounds to discover emerging DJs and original sets. The artists will be announced at a later date.
A lineup that defies the cold
“This year, we can truly say that there’s something for everyone!” says Pascal Lefebvre, co-founder of Multicolore. “The program brings together artists from all corners of the electronic music world, which perfectly reflects the spirit of the festival. With the festival now in four cities, including new addition Edmonton, it’s a thrill to see this community grow.”
The festivities on Thursday, March 5 will kick off with Montreal DJ Audrey Bélanger, who seamlessly blends acid sounds with a myriad of Italo disco textures. She will be followed by a surprise artist, to be announced at a later date. Next, the iconic duo Disclosure, hailing from the British electro scene and nominated for eight Grammy Awards, will perform on Quebec City's coldest stage for the very first time, delivering their signature sound that blends garage and house. The forecast for Friday, March 6 calls for a winter flurry of dubstep, house and bass music. The forecast for Friday, March 6 calls for a winter flurry of dubstep, house and bass music. The night will build from the magnetic energy of DJ / producer KHAØS to the dark, minimalist style of Canada’s Distinct Motive before culminating with headliners Zeds Dead. The dubstep icons will feature tracks from their new album, Intergalactic Happiness. On Saturday, March 7, the festival’s last night will ignite with the hypnotic rhythms of DJ Lily Pita as the native of Indonesia, now based on Québec City’s south shore, warms up the wintry night with her music blending hypnotic rhythms, pulsating bass lines and stirring melodies. Rising star Jackie Hollander will then take over the turntables before handing over to the third headliner of the weekend, the influential British house music DJ / producer Chris Lake. Having just released one of the most listened-to electronic albums of 2025, a major collaboration with Skrillex, he promises an electrifying connection with the audience that lives up to the album title: Chemistry. It’s a finale guaranteed to leave no one cold!
